My ceramic sculptures explore the relationship between function and form, challenging the longstanding distinction between utility and fine art. For centuries, the usefulness of ceramic objects was often seen as a reason to exclude them from the realm of art. Today, that distinction has largely given way to a broader understanding of artistic expression, one that recognizes utility as a quality to be celebrated rather than a limitation.

Drawing inspiration from functional forms, I create sculptures that reflect my personal interpretation of how utility and beauty can coexist. My work embraces the possibility that function and artistic expression are not opposing qualities, but complementary elements that can enrich one another. Through my practice, I seek a harmony between form, purpose, and aesthetic expression.
