BLOOM / HUM / GLOW

Glass, Image, and Sound
An Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Art in a Historic Bank
April 11 to June 6, 2026
Featuring William Ortman, Chloe Simma-Martin, and Kevin J. Naylor

BLOOM /HUM / GLOW presents blown glass, photogravure, and sound as refined material practices rooted in process, precision, and sensory depth. The exhibition brings together three artists whose work rewards sustained looking and listening, offering objects and experiences shaped by mastery, restraint, and attention to detail.

William Ortman’s blown glass forms demonstrate a sophisticated command of color, structure, and traditional technique. Working with incalmo, cane, and murrine, his vessels and sculptural works balance formal clarity with organic variation, resulting in luminous objects that hold presence within both contemporary and classical interiors.

Chloe Simma-Martin’s photogravures offer an intimate counterpoint. Printed in small editions, her floral images draw viewers close through tonal nuance and quiet scale. The works reveal a deep sensitivity to craft and surface, making them particularly well suited for private collections that value subtlety, patience, and material integrity.

Kevin J. Naylor’s sound installation completes the environment, enveloping the gallery in a low-frequency atmosphere derived from natural rhythms. While immersive in nature, the work heightens awareness of the visual objects, enriching the viewing experience without overwhelming it.

Together, the exhibition emphasizes quality of making and depth of experience. Bloom / Hum / Glow offers viewers an opportunity to engage with works that are both sensorially compelling and enduring, that is, objects defined not by trend, but by craftsmanship, presence, and resonance.
